In the populous parish of Petare, three girls whose names begin with the letter V have parallel lives but intersected by the same reality from which they seek to get ahead by their own means. One is a violinist; the other is a motorcycle taxi driver who, as a child, lost her father in an armed robbery; the third is a young woman who, after being raped, practices prostitution. The three girls and a woman nicknamed La Colombia will establish a relationship with El Diablo, a criminal with a curse on his back from which she can only free herself when she finds true love.
