In this hyperbolic world, pathological characters are in search of tenderness. They suffer from bodily disorders : sentimentality for Suze and Dallas is manifested through violence, allergic reactions, occasional gunshots - Suze represents love as I have dreamt it: dramatic, kitsch, naive, but always sincere.
